About Valeo
A Smarter Way to Find a Therapist
Why Valeo Exists
Therapist directories should help people find the right care. But here's the problem: they don't actually verify expertise.
Anyone can click a box and claim a specialty—whether they spent years training in it or just skimmed a book. Clients don't know this. They assume directories already checked.
That's why I built Valeo.
A System That's Broken
As a therapist, I saw firsthand how easy it was to list focus areas—regardless of the depth of training. I could claim Gestalt Therapy after completing an intensive three-year program, while another therapist could list it after attending a short workshop—but no one verifies the difference in expertise.
Same label. Two completely different levels of expertise.
Clients have no way to tell the difference. And that's a problem.
Valeo: Putting Transparency First
Valeo fixes what other directories ignore. We don't just list therapists. We verify expertise.
- If they claim it, they have to back it up.
- We check certifications, advanced training, and real-world experience.
- You see exactly how a therapist built their expertise—before you book.
A Mission for Change
Finding a therapist shouldn't be a gamble. You deserve to know who you're trusting with your mental health.
Valeo isn't just another directory—it's a movement for transparency in mental health care. Because when you're investing in therapy, you should have the full picture.
With dedication to transparency and growth,
